Job summary

Green Key Resources is seeking two Hematology/Oncology physicians to join our practice in Oregon, with duties split between Newport/Lincoln City and the Infusion Clinic in Salem. In this role you will provide inpatient consults and outpatient care within a collaborative team, managing complex cancer cases and ensuring evidence-based treatment plans.

The position requires Board certification/eligibility, an Oregon medical license or eligibility, DEA license, and strong EMR skills.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible MD with 2-3 years’ experience.
• Currently active full unrestricted Oregon Medical license or ability to obtain
• Current DEA license or eligible to obtain
• Strong technical/computer skills and EMR experience
• Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Empathetic, compassionate nature in guiding cancer care
• Emotional resilience for delivering difficult news

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop treatment plans
• Participate as a key member of the patient-care team in implementing treatment plans and monitoring progress
• Utilize and promote standards of care, procedures, methods, safety precautions, and study protocols
• Participate in development, review, and evaluation of standard operating procedures
• Function collaboratively with the APP team
• Order tests — biopsy, blood, and imaging — to confirm a diagnosis
• Provide patients with information regarding cancer, prognosis, and options
• Develop treatment plans with measurable goals and patient preferences
• Maintain quality of life by managing pain and treatment side effects
• Reassess as disease progresses and pursue alternatives or palliative care when necessary
• Participate in training sessions for study protocols and clinical trials, ensure confidentiality
• Daily schedule: Monday-Friday, 34 patient facing hours per week
• Shared weeknight and weekend on call every 6th week
• No weekends or holidays, unless on call
