Abate Right in Salem, Oregon, seeks a safety-conscious, DEQ-certified asbestos abatement worker to join our environmental remediation team. You will set up containment, remove ACM, and dispose of waste in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, following strict safety protocols.

Qualified candidates must hold or obtain the Oregon DEQ Asbestos Worker Certification (or Supervisor). The role is full-time, pays $20–$26/hour DOE, requires lifting up to 50 lbs and respirator wear, and

Qualifications

• Oregon DEQ asbestos certification required or obtainable.
• Medical clearance and fit-test ready.
• 1+ year of friable asbestos abatement preferred, but we consider newly certified individuals with strong work ethic.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces; wear respirator/protective gear.

Responsibilities

• Site preparation: build containment areas and set up decontamination units.
• Abatement: remove friable and non-friable ACM using wet-method techniques.
• Waste management: package, label, and transport asbestos waste to approved landfills.
• Safety compliance: wear PPE and follow safety protocols.
