Job summary

Scenic Group (Scenic / Emerald Cruises) is seeking an experienced Ordinary Seaman to contribute to deck operations onboard our luxury vessels. You report to the Bosun and Staff Captain and assist with lookout, deck maintenance, tendering, mooring, and security tasks.

Ideal candidates will hold a Navigational Watch Rating II/4, have at least two contracts as OS on passenger ships, and possess valid STCW certificates. A strong team player attitude and safety-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Navigational Watch Rating II/4 certificate.
• At least 2 contracts' experience onboard passenger vessels as an OS.
• Valid STCW certificates for the position.

Responsibilities

• Carry out lookout duties and deck operations as required.
• Perform deck maintenance and cleaning tasks to high standards.
• Assist with tendering operations and exterior maintenance/presentation.
• Assist with mooring and anchoring operations.
• Support safety and security on the gangway, pontoon, and shoreside.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety practices.

The Role

Description Brief

You will be crucial to deck operations onboard, reporting directly to the Bosun and Staff Captain. Your responsibilities will include lookout duties, deck maintenance and cleaning, assisting with tendering operations, exterior maintenance and presentation tasks, mooring and anchoring operations, and assisting with safety and security on the gangway, pontoon, and shoreside. You will follow our policies, procedures, and safe working practices, fostering a strong safety culture and always adhering to all policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• To apply for this role, you must hold a Navigational Watch Rating (II/4) certification.
• At least 2 contracts' experience onboard passenger vessels as an OS.
