Hours | Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week, part-time
  • Variable 2nd shift
  • Weekends and holidays to be scheduled in accordance with CBA

Position Summary:

The Orderly/ Patient Transporter will assist in transporting patients to and from various departments for scheduled studies.

What the Orderly/ Patient Transporter will do:

  • Performs patient transports.
  • Assists with patient positioning.
  • Assists in transportation and patient care needs for PACU as directed.
  • Assists with CT transports to and from the department within ED.
  • Assists with post-mortem care/transport to the morgue when necessary.

What the Patient Transport | Orderly will need:

  • High school graduate.
  • Preferred: Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent education and /or experience.
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification or completion of certification within probationary period.
  • Preferred: prior patient care experience.
  • Preferred: knowledge of medical terminology and sterile technique.
  • Ability to push/pull and/or lift 50 lbs.
