Kowalski Companies, Inc. a 104-year-old family-owned company is seeking a full-time Order Selector/Picker to work in our Warehouse Department in our Home Style Foods, Inc. plant.

Position Title: Warehouse Associate: Order Selector/Picker

Location: Hamtramck, MI (In-person)

Job Type: Full-Time

Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour

Work Hours

• Early start time at 5:00 AM (subject to change based on business needs).
• Flexibility required, with occasional Saturday work.
  
  

Job Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to efficiently manage product picking, packing, and shipping operations in a refrigerated environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately select, stack, and palletize products for shipment, ensuring proper label visibility.
• Inspect products for quality before packing and shipping.
• Use a hand scanner and the company’s Canopy system to track orders and identify discrepancies.
• Memorize product locations within the warehouse for efficient picking and restocking.
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (training provided).
• Verify product quantities and report any discrepancies.
• Perform pre-shift checks and assist with inventory preparation and cycle counts.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the warehouse, including equipment and floors.
• Adhere to company policies, SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and MIOSHA guidelines.
• Support food safety practices by ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures.
