Job description

Producers Dairy Foods Inc., a leading supplier and distributor of high-quality award‑winning dairy products, is looking for an Order Selector to join our winning team. The Order Selector will be an essential member of the cold storage department. The Order Selector is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity and must be comfortable working any shift in a cold environment.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
• Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
• Maintaining accuracy in picking orders.
• Maintaining proper product rotation. Checking all codes and stock in area.
• Maintaining a clean work station at all times, including cardboard boxes.
• Getting empty cases for building of by‑products.
• Getting tags for identifying stacks for loading.
• Taking all leakers to the reprocess area. Notifying Supervisor and/or Filler Operator if the leakers are coming from the plant.
• Maintaining appropriate dress and personal appearance standards.
• Knowing, understanding and adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
• Promoting and maintaining Company goodwill in all areas. Assisting others and performing other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 2 or more year of experience in a cold storage environment.
• Must be humble, approachable, and honest, yet able to lead and hold other accountable.
• Must be flexible and able to work any shift.
• Demonstrate good judgment, and problem solving and decision making skills as well as being an organized record keeper.
• Must be a trustworthy self‑starter who can work independently and deliver accurate, timely results.
• Must be able to stand/stoop and bend and be on your feet for long periods and lift or drag up to 100 pounds.
