Job summary

Novo Building Products in Channahon, IL is seeking an Order Puller to accurately pull customer orders using an RF scanner, verify product and counts, label per procedures, and deliver finished loads to the designated area.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 10am-6:30pm. Pay: $19.25/hour. Must be able to handle physical work, wear PPE, and move heavy loads up to 50–100 lbs. Training provided for safe tugger operation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to perform all essential functions, including physical requirements.
• Use of proper PPE and tools while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills.
• Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
• Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Scan location and pull product using RF Scanner to fulfill orders safely and effectively.
• Ensure units are organized, leveled, and secured for transport.
• Communicate discrepancies or safety issues to Supervisor.
• Place completed and labeled orders into designated area once fulfilled.
• Maintain a clean work area and handle loose bundles as needed.
• Complete Novo tugger training and operate tugger per safety requirements.

Position Summary

The Order Puller will be responsible for accurately pulling customer orders by using RF Scanner. The puller needs to verify product and count accuracy, receive, and label per procedures, and deliver finished load to designated area. The puller will need the ability to accurately measure in linear feet and properly build a pallet.

Shift: Monday-Friday 10am-6:30pm

Pay: $19.25/hour

Essential Responsibilities

• Scan's location and pulls product using RF Scanner to fulfill customer orders in a safe and effective manner.
• Ensures all units are organized, leveled, and tightly built for transport.
• Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
• Places completed and labelled order into designated area once order is fulfilled.
• Maintains a clean work area, sweeping, rebinding loose bundles, etc.
• Successfully passes all Novo tugger training and operates a tugger following all safety requirements established within Novo.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required)

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Effectively performs all essential functions, including physical requirements.
• Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards. and maintaining a safe work environment Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights.
• Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills.
• Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
• Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience driving industrial powered equipment.
• High School Diploma and GED
