Job summary

PEI Genesis in South Bend, IN is seeking a 1st shift Order Puller to pull parts across the warehouse, following Work Orders and Pick Suggestions. The role operates in a clean, climate-controlled facility and requires attention to accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, maintaining 5S standards, and supporting cross-training in other areas. 0–1 year experience preferred; benefits and a $1000 sign-on bonus are offered.

• Ensure that Work Instructions are being followed and all processes are being met
• Ensure that all Pick Suggestions and Work Orders are being completed within the allotted time by Management.
• Ability to utilize weigh scale in the counting of parts
• Read, understand, and complete all Shipping Department documentation and work instructions to the PEI-Genesis, ISO9001, and AS9100 standard.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area using 5S principles.
• Stock order pulling cart with required materials to perform job.

1st shift Order Puller (Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm) needed in our state-of-the-art environmentally controlled very clean facility in South Bend, IN. The Order Puller is responsible for the pulling/picking of parts throughout the warehouse while adhering to departmental processes and procedures. Basic understanding of order pulling principles.

TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES - (Specific Job Proficiencies and Skills)

• Basic ability to read and interpret Pick Suggestions and Work Orders Kit List with regards to warehouse locations.
• Basic understanding of PEI Quality Policy, FOD, and AS9100 Overview.
• Basic understanding of FIFO (First In - First Out) practices
• Knowledge of Product Identification and lot traceability as it pertains to order pulling
• Operation of order puller scanner
• Achieve effective level in primary position as defined in Skills Matrix

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties May Be Assigned.)

• Pulling parts from Pick Suggestions and Work Orders
• Confirming Work Orders or pulled part accuracy

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Manual lifting up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).
• Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8+ hours of the day.
• Ability to sit or stand for up to 8+ hours.
• Be able to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.
• Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.
