Qualifications

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts is helpful.
  • Knowledge of production planning and safety processes is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, verify, and load components onto kitting carts according to pick lists and production requirements.
  • Use handheld scanning devices to process pick lists and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure kitting carts are available, stocked, and in good working condition.
  • Repack materials and dispose of packaging safely and efficiently.
  • Report missing parts, inventory shortages, and operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Follow SHE and quality standards and Atlas Copco values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Order Picker ensures production lines are supplied with accurate and timely kitting carts by picking, staging, and delivering components according to system-generated pick lists while supporting continuous improvement, productivity, and logistics excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, verify, and load components onto kitting carts according to pick lists, instructions, and production requirements.
  • Use handheld scanning devices to process pick lists and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure kitting carts are available, properly stocked, and in good working condition.
  • Repack materials and dispose of packaging materials safely and efficiently.
  • Report missing parts, inventory shortages, and operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance logistics processes.
  • Follow all Safety, Health, Environment (SHE), quality, and company standards while promoting Atlas Copco's core values of Interaction, Commitment, and Innovation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Position requires a high school diploma, general education degree (GED), at least three years of warehouse and/ or receiving experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a logistic environment as an order picker.
  • Use of IT tools like AS400 (BPCS), WMS systems.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing concept.
  • Understanding of production planning.
  • Knowledge of safety processes, procedures and systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times (occasionally)
