Job description

As a vital part of our team, the Order Picker works closely with inventory managers, logistics personnel, and customers to fulfill daily order requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels. The individual in this role must possess a keen attention to detail, handling various products and packaging them correctly for purchase. Professionalism is key. This role requires physical stamina for repetitive tasks and a strong commitment to safety standards. Successful Order Pickers contribute significantly to our overall productivity and success, making them essential to meeting customer demands and enhancing service delivery.

Duties

  1. Utilize hand-held devices or RF scanners to identify and track inventory.
  2. Verify product quantities and inspect for damages before packing.
  3. Maintain organization of the stock area to improve efficiency.
  4. Adhere to safety policies and procedures while operating machinery.
  5. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
  6. Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
  8. Report discrepancies or inventory issues to supervisors promptly.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members regarding order updates and delays.
  10. Stay informed about company policies and best practices related to order picking and inventory management.

Required Qualifications

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory.
  • Willingness to undergo background check.
  • Commitment to maintaining high levels of organization and cleanliness.
