Job summary

The Golden Hog is seeking a full-time Order & Guest Service Associate to provide friendly customer service while receiving and coordinating orders placed in-store, by phone, online, or via catering requests. This role emphasizes accurate entry, verification of details, coordinating with production and service teams, and ensuring timely pickup.

You will assist with checkout, answer questions, and perform front-end duties as needed; bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work a full-time rotating schedule, including opening, mid, and closing shifts.
• Previous experience in order-related roles or customer service preferred.
• Ability to process orders from in-store, phone, email, website, and third-party platforms.
• Experience with POS systems or order-management tools (Odoo preferred).
• Verify orders for accuracy before finalizing and handoff.
• Strong organization, detail orientation, and communication with multiple departments.
• Willing to assist with pickup, bagging, and general Front-End support.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required.

Order & Guest Service Associate Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Order & Guest Service Associate to provide friendly customer service while receiving and coordinating phone, online, in-store, pickup, and catering orders. This position includes accurately entering order details, confirming modifications and special requests, coordinating with production and service teams, tracking order progress, verifying accuracy and packaging, and ensuring timely and professional order pickup and handoff. The associate will also assist customers with order questions, checkout, and other front-end needs as required.

Requirements

Order & Guest Service Qualifications:

• Must be available to work a full-time rotating schedule, including opening, mid, and closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and peak periods based on business needs.
• Previous experience as an Order Specialist, Order Coordinator, Order Entry Specialist, Customer Service Representative, Retail Associate, Fulfillment Associate, or similar grocery, food-service, hospitality, or customer-service position preferred.
• Ability to receive and accurately process customer orders from in-store, phone, email, website, and approved third-party platforms.
• Comfortable using POS systems, phones, email, online-order platforms, and digital tools; experience with Odoo or another order-management system preferred.
• Ability to verify customer information, products, quantities, prices, substitutions, special instructions, pickup or delivery details, and payment status before finalizing orders.
• Strong organization and attention to detail with the ability to monitor multiple active orders and follow through until completion.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal departments, including Kitchen, Deli, Bakery, Grocery, Produce, Cashiers, and Delivery.
• Able to verify completed orders for correct items, quantities, packaging, labeling, presentation, and supporting documentation before customer handoff.
• Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide professional updates regarding order status, substitutions, delays, modifications, or other order concerns.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to assist with order pickup, bagging, register coverage, opening, closing, and general Front-End support as needed.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
