Job summary

DHL Germany is seeking a First (1st) Shift Order Filler Picker in California. The role runs 6:00AM to 2:30PM, Monday–Friday, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

You will fill customer orders by hand, replenish or pick product using pick sheets or a handheld computer, and obtain merchandise from bins or shelves to complete orders. Responsibilities include efficient order picking, inventory counting by location, transporting orders to shipping, and assisting in physical inventories.

Qualifications

• Case picking experience and ability to follow pick sheets.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred to handle products and inventories.
• Standing for most of the shift is expected.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently pick customer orders to ensure correct items are loaded for shipping.
• Accurately count inventory by location.
• Transport orders to shipping areas using non-powered equipment.

Core Responsibilities

• Picking by hand up to 35 lbs. (approx. 60% of the day)

Role Purpose

Responsible for safe, secure, and accurate filling of customer orders. Replenish or pick product with direction from pick sheets or handheld computer. Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves to fill the order.

Key Accountabilities

• Efficiently pick customer orders or shipments ensuring the correct number and type of product are loaded and shipped.
• Accurately count product inventory by location.
• Transport orders to shipping locations utilizing non-powered material handling equipment.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.

Additional Skills and Experience

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• 0 to 12 months experience in a warehouse setting, preferred
