The Order Filler retrieves products for shipment by placing them in shipping containers. The specific operations depend on the type, size, and quantity of items, the container used, and the shipment method. Responsibilities include verifying stock content, selecting appropriate containers, inserting enclosures, using materials to prevent damage, sealing, labeling, and entering data. The Order Filler also fills shipping orders based on sales slips or customer instructions, keeps records, requisitions stock, reports shortages, and performs related duties (WDR Summary 21071).

This position verifies and pulls shipments for packaging for DHHS and Support Services; completes agency paperwork, documentation, packing slips, labels, and handles shipments for Diplomatic pouch, APO, or freight forwarding. Maintains logs of all shipping activities and adheres to standards for hazardous materials.

• Compare requisitions, invoices, and shipping documents with received materials. Inspect for correctness, dosage, quantity, and expiration dates.
• Notify Procurement of discrepancies or short-dated products.
• Identify Dangerous Goods (HAZMATS) for special handling.
• Break down requisition paperwork for distribution to relevant departments and recipients.
• Repackage materials for international shipment via Diplomatic Pouch, APO, or freight forwarders.
• Affix labels, markings, and complete shipment forms accurately.
• Maintain logs of shipped orders including details like Post name, requisition number, vendor, and shipment method.
• Ensure safety by proper equipment use and adherence to policies.
• Promote team spirit and quality work.
• Maintain appropriate conduct per Didlake policies.
• Complete all required paperwork and training.
