Job summary

Solvay seeks a Back Office Representative within the Order Fulfillment Team of the EMEA Supply Chain. You will ensure on-time delivery, manage stock, and coordinate transport, working with internal stakeholders and subcontractors.

The role is based in a hybrid setup with occasional plant visits; a Bachelor's in International Trade or related supply chain experience, fluency in French and English, and SAP/MS Office proficiency are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are delivered on time to meet customer demand.

• Manage stock levels across production plants and warehouses, including international locations.
• Monitor logistics operations, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.

About the role

Our Order Fulfillment Team, composed of 8 people, is integrated into the EMEA Supply Chain Department and focuses on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of customer orders, while overseeing inventory management, coordinating transportation providers, and proactively resolving logistics issues and supply chain disruptions.

The Back Office Representative is in charge of ensuring that all Customers are supplied on time (a combination of the availability of transport means and product). The function targets a proactive approach so that problems are anticipated and avoided rather than solved.

You will be accountable for:

• Ensure ordered products are delivered effectively and on time to customers in order to satisfy their demand.
• Organize and execute operations related to stock management, transport and delivery, while ensuring effective coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Plan and organize product transport and delivery, directly or through subcontractors.
• Manage stock levels across production plants and warehouses, including international locations, in line with forecasted sales, production and transfer plans.
• Monitor the execution of logistics operations, proactively identify deviations and implement corrective actions to ensure service continuity.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, customer service and other internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and unblock orders when required.

We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode. Office-based role with occasional visits to manufacturing plants to better understand operational needs and on-the-ground challenges.

About you

Bachelor's in International Trade or similar, or experience in Supply Chain (transport/warehouse management/logistics in general).

Relevant experience in a similar Supply Chain role.

Competencies:

• IT knowledge (MS Office), SAP knowledge.
• Fluent in both French and English. Other languages are a strong asset.

About the pay

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is € 3600 - € 4600 monthly in Belgium. Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
