Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking an Order Clerk to receive and process orders for materials and merchandise. You will inform customers about receipts, prices, shipping dates, and delays, and assist with contracts and inquiries.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, familiarity with Office applications, and ability to coordinate with production, sales, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: associate degree in communication.
• At least 1 year clerical or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes order forms.
• Prepares invoices, shipping documents, and contracts.
• Responds to customer complaints.
• Works with production, sales, shipping, warehouse or carrier staff to expedite shipments.
• Compiles order-related statistics and prepares management reports.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Order Clerk receives and processes incoming orders for materials and merchandise, duties include informing customers of receipt, prices, shipping dates, and delays; preparing contracts; and handling complaints.

Essential Functions

• Completes order forms.


• Prepares invoices, shipping documents, and contracts.


• Receives and responds to customer complaints.


• Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace shipments.


• Calculates and compiles order-related statistics and prepare reports for management


• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

Experience / Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent


• Preferred Degree: Associate Degree in Communication


• Years of experience: Minimum 1 year in a clerical or customer service setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

• Superior Customer Service Skills


• Office Suite applications


• AS400 experience a plus


• Team player
