Job summary

Coca-Cola UNITED, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler Automation 1 to replenish products on semi-automated conveyors and correct system errors.

You will maintain production pace, perform manual order-building, and ensure a clean, safe workplace in line with UNITED standards. The role requires basic English communication, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Conversational English required for basic understanding.
• Committed to safety policies and protecting company assets.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Able to climb up to 24 ft.

Responsibilities

• Place correct product on conveyors in semi-automated lanes as products release.
• Resolve alarms in pick areas and communicate issues promptly.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, pallets, or bins by code.
• Coordinate replenishment with responsible parties.
• Replenish pallet pick and flow rack zones.
• Manually build new orders and sort/replenish returns.

Job Description

The Material Handler Automation 1 is responsible for replenishing product on semi-automated conveyors by hand within the automated system, correct any conveyor system errors, and to manually build new orders or tear down orders returned to the plant. Maintain production rate based on system performance. Ensure a clean and safe work environment according to UNITED standards.

What your day will look like:

• Placement of correct product on conveyor system in semi-automated pick lanes as product releases are relieved from system
• Resolution of alarms in pick areas by reviewing monitors when alarms are triggered by release issues and communicate system opportunities in a time ly manner via handheld radio
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code
• Coordinate replenishment needs accordingly with responsible parties
• Replenishment of pallet pick and flow rack zones
• Manually build new orders and sort/replenish returns in HQS zones
• Utilize PIT equipment as needed
• Ensure production goals are met daily
• General housekeeping
• All other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum age 18 years old
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Conversational English understanding and communication skills required. Candidates should be able to understand and convey information in English, although fluency is not a requirement for this role. Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all company provided resources and technology
• Less than high school education; or up to 1-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate adaptability, safety, security, and initiative skills
• Ability to be self-motivated and able to perform job duties with minimal supervision
• Proficient in production cleaning using food grade cleaning solutions
• Ability to climb up to 24ft of stairs

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
