Luxoft has one of the world's leading Orchestrade practices. We are a top-tier Orchestrade Partner and a market leader in implementation, integration, upgrade, and migration. We provide end-to-end project services and have delivered Orchestrade projects across all major asset classes and sectors including investment banking, asset management, corporate treasury, and commodities. Whether you possess a background in finance, technology, or mathematics, your experience in the capital markets or commodities industry would be of high interest to us.

The project involves implementing a Trading and Position platform for Commodity products. You will be part of a top initiative for this commodity client, working on various commodity products and learning a new trading platform. You will have the opportunity to showcase your work directly to end users. The test automation team will be responsible for automating features such as:

  • Pre-deal origination workflow and post-execution monitoring and lifecycle management
  • Risk calculations
  • Integration interfaces testing
  • Reporting, reconciliation
  • Accounting

The application is Orchestrade, developed in .NET (C#), natively connected to Excel, with a Microsoft SQL database. It is delivered in-house or hosted on Amazon Web Services. You will be a senior test automation engineer responsible for quality validation of the build, working on a new trading platform written in C#.

Responsibilities

  1. Analyzing product requirements and specifications.
  2. Ensuring testing activities align with the testing strategy and plan.
  3. Contributing to proof of concept and evaluating ROI and feasibility.
  4. Enhancing automation testing frameworks.
  5. Defining requirements for test data environments.
  6. Estimating testing efforts based on experience and tools.
  7. Creating test data, writing, and executing test cases/scripts.
  8. Maintaining test packs and incorporating tests following production incidents.
  9. Analyzing test results, documenting issues, and retesting corrections.
  10. Recording and escalating test risks and issues.
  11. Maintaining project documentation and communicating results.
  12. Reporting and classifying defects timely.
  13. Adhering to testing best practices and standards.
  14. Coordinating with QA, BA, DEV, and PM teams.
  15. Collaborating to minimize testing dependencies and migration issues.
  16. Aligning with wider team objectives.

Skills

Must have

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Experience with industry-standard test tools and frameworks (e.g., HP ALM, UFT, Selenium).
  • UI automation experience.
  • Understanding of testing across the full SDLC.
  • Experience planning and executing tests across all layers.
  • Building technical testing solutions following frameworks and standards.
  • Experience in test documentation (test plans, strategies, cases).
  • Strong knowledge of testing processes and defect tracking (preferably JIRA).
  • Contributing to technical frameworks and strategies.
  • Customer and service orientation.
  • Experience with risk management policies.
  • Effective communication skills in English (upper intermediate or higher).

Nice to have

  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
  • System integration testing experience.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools (TeamCity, Jenkins).
  • .NET development experience.
  • Testing certifications (ISTQB, ISEB).
  • Load & performance automation experience (HP LoadRunner, JMeter).
