Job summary

Carrollwood Farms in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Orchard & Groundskeeper to care for multiple orchards and maintain the grounds of the property. The role focuses on tree health, pruning, pest and disease management, fertilizer, IPM, and coordination with the horticulture consultant.

Public interaction as openings occur. You will operate tractors and field equipment, keep accurate pesticide application records, and support additional grounds projects such as mowing, trails, and wood

Qualifications

• Pesticide applicator's license preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain one within a timeframe.
• Experience with fruit and nut tree care and orchard maintenance.
• Ability to operate tractors and attached equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain orchard health and productivity across multiple orchards (apple, peach; pecan planned).
• Prune, fertilize, monitor pests/diseases, apply pesticides as needed.
• Coordinate spraying with farm team and maintain orchard maps and records.
• Support grounds maintenance including mowing, line trimming, mulching, fence upkeep, and debris removal.
• Interact with guests professionally as the site opens to the public.
