Job summary

Baxter is hiring an Orbiter Technician for weekends and a Monday–Tuesday shift, to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot orbiter equipment used in medical cuff production. You will help ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently while meeting strict quality standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support production teams. The role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, GMP awareness, and a collaborative mindset in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing production.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with orbiter equipment components and repair techniques.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with maintenance management systems is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated proficiency within manufacturing work centers and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate orbiter machines according to established procedures and manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain optimal operation.
• Perform routine maintenance activities including cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and replacement of worn components.
• Develop and support preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and performance issues.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and corrective actions to restore equipment to operational standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair reports, and equipment documentation.
• Provide technical support to production teams regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
• Assist in training operators and technicians on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Partner with Engineering and Maintenance teams on equipment upgrades and performance improvements.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify compliance with product and regulatory requirements.
