Job summary

Baxter is hiring an Orbiter Technician to operate, maintain, and repair orbiter equipment used in medical cuff production. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime and ensure safety and quality.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment. Weekend and shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year min in medical device or regulated manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints.
• Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with orbiter equipment components and repair techniques.
• Basic computer skills; MS Office; PM systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate orbiter machines per procedures and requirements.
• Monitor performance; adjust for optimal operation.
• Perform routine maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, inspection, parts replacement.
• Develop preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records and repair reports.
• Support production with equipment operation guidance.
• Assist training of operators and technicians.
• Collaborate on equipment upgrades and improvements.
• Conduct quality checks for GMP/FDA compliance.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve production efficiency.
