Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks an Orbital Tube Welder to join our space hardware team. You will weld and fabricate fluid systems for Rutherford/Archimedes engines, read blueprints, and ensure quality welds on tubing from 1/4" to 6".

Qualifications include high school diploma or GED and 2+ years OTW experience (5+ preferred). The role requires multi-shift availability and ability to work in a high‑reliability aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• OTW experience in aviation/aerospace or similar industry required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of NDE processes to inspect tubing and welds.

Responsibilities

• Develop weld schedules for OTW projects from tubing sizes 1/4" to 6".
• Operate and maintain orbital tube welding equipment to ensure high-quality welds.
• Perform tubing fabrication tasks and assemble sub-assemblies per specs.
