Job summary

Omitron, Inc. is seeking an Orbital Analyst (OA) Instructor to train military and contractor analysts at the National Space Defense Center (NSDC) on Schriever Space Force Base, CO.

You will develop structured lessons in SDA, orbital analysis, and mission processes to ensure spaceflight safety of satellite assets. You will mentor junior analysts, collaborate with engineers and site leadership, and support mission tasking and threat assessment in a demanding, secure environment.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI; CI polygraph access as required.
• Bachelor's degree in Astrodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field with 4 years of relevant work experience or 8 years total.
• Four or more years in Space Situational Awareness, satellite catalog maintenance, orbital analysis, or collision avoidance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orbit determination and orbital mechanics.
• Experience teaching or mentoring analysts.
• Familiarity with space surveillance sensors and data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Space Domain Awareness and orbital analysis lessons for military and contractor analysts.
• Instruct analysts in mission systems, tools, and processes for orbital analysis.
• Teach orbital mechanics applications to real-world operational problems.
• Evaluate trainee progress and support certification against mission task standards.
