We’re looking for an Orbit Operations Engineer to take ownership of spacecraft performance and day-to-day on-orbit operations. From executing orbital maneuvers and station-keeping to monitoring telemetry and subsystem health, you’ll play a critical role in mission success. This role also involves developing tools, procedures, and flight rules for ground operations in close collaboration with GNC, avionics, and software teams—ensuring we operate efficiently, safely, and with precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute spacecraft maneuvers, including station-keeping and orbital transfers
• Monitor telemetry in real time, identify anomalies, and ensure subsystem health
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, flight rules, and automation scripts
• Collaborate with GNC and ADCS engineers to enhance orbit control performance and fuel efficiency
• Coordinate ground station activities, including data downlinks and command uplinks
• Analyze post-mission data to optimize operational approaches and identify improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in satellite mission operations or flight dynamics
• Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, including maneuver planning and Δv budgeting
• Familiarity with mission planning tools such as STK, GMAT, or equivalent internal tools
• Proven ability to troubleshoot quickly and effectively in high-stakes environments
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and status reporting
