Job summary

Cupertino Oral & Facial Surgery is seeking a skilled Oral Surgical Assistant to join our team. The role supports the surgical team during procedures, maintains sterility, and ensures patient comfort throughout the process.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience, CPR/BLS certification, and a strong understanding of infection control in a fast-paced clinical setting. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional medical training a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as an Oral Surgical Assistant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of oral surgical procedures and protocols.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with sterilization techniques and infection control standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during a variety of procedures.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures.
• Coordinate with the surgical team for smooth workflow and timely patient care.
• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations and maintain a sterile environment.
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
