Job summary

Optimum Oral Surgery Group is seeking a Sterilization Technician in Mullica Hill, NJ, with travel to Voorhees and Moorestown as needed. Full-time, Monday–Friday, strong focus on instrument sterilization and safety.

You will collect, clean, decontaminate and prepare instruments, maintain records, and support the surgical team with timely equipment delivery. Experience and sterile processing certification are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect used and contaminated equipment for decontamination.
• Manually clean supplies of contaminants.
• Operate and maintain decontamination equipment.
• Prepare and package decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
• Exams supplies meticulously to ensure they are cleaned and sanitized.
• Routinely tests and reports issues with sterilization equipment.
• Sterilizes, preps, wraps and organizes equipment into trays for procedures.
• Prepares and delivers all necessary equipment for procedures.
• Maintains records of sterilization procedures and inventory.
• Monitors inventory and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
