We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the best care possible. You will assist the dentist during procedures, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and help create a comfortable experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surgical Preparation: Prepare operatory and surgical instruments before procedures, including sterilization and setup.
  • Patient Prep: Assist in seating and draping the patient, reviewing medical histories, and preparing them for surgery.
  • Chairside Assistance: Provide direct support to the oral surgeon during procedures such as extractions, implant placement, and biopsies.
  • Sedation Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs during IV sedation or general anesthesia under the supervision of the dentist or oral surgeon.
  • Sterilization Protocols: Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and aseptic surgical environment.
  • Qualifications:

    • Active Oral Surgery Certified Dental Assistant licensure in California
    • CPR certification
    • Knowledge of oral surgery dental procedures, instruments, and terminology.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • A caring and compassionate attitude toward patients.
