Staff Today Inc. in Manassas, VA seeks an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to support surgical procedures, manage instruments and radiographs, and ensure patient safety from pre-op to post-op. The role requires VA license/certification, X-ray certification, and experience in IV sedation or nitrous oxide.

Qualificações

• Minimum one year of dental assisting experience.
• Oral surgery experience.
• Experienced in IV sedations & Nitrous Oxide highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• X-Ray certification -1-2 years experience.
• Dental Assistant Certification.
• Additional certifications may be required.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Responsabilidades

• Assist oral surgeons with surgical procedures including extractions, dental implants, none grafts, and IV sedation cases.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, operatory, and sterilization areas in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Monitor and reassure patients before, during and after procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Take and process dental radiographs, including panoramic and CBCT imaging (if certified).
• Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Manage surgical inventory, prepare surgical trays, and order supplies as needed.
• Supports sedation and anesthesia setup (IV or nitrous) and recovery process under supervision.
• Collaboration with front desk and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient experience.
