Quincy Medical Group in Quincy, IL is seeking an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to support providers before, during, and after dental and surgical procedures. You will assist with treatments, prepare instruments, obtain patient information, and help ensure a safe, comfortable experience for every patient.

This full-time role is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm in a clinical oral surgery environment. Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills are essential; BLS is required, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Dental Assistant certification preferred.
• Dental X-ray certification preferred.
• DAANCE preferred.
• One to two years in oral surgery/dental environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dental treatments and oral surgery procedures.
• Obtain dental radiographs and CBCT imaging when trained.
• Prepare trays, instruments, and treatment rooms for procedures.
• Sterilize and maintain instruments per infection prevention standards.
• Document patient information and care activities in the EMR.
• Support patient safety and care team during anesthesia as trained.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
• Maintain organized, clean treatment areas and supplies.
