Job summary

Everett Modern Dentistry in Everett, WA is seeking Specialty Dental Assistants to support clinicians across Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics or Pediatric dentistry.

You will prepare patients, assist dentists, maintain sterile operatory, travel between offices, and participate in team meetings. A high school diploma or GED and state-required certificates are required; driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED, and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: As mandated by applicable state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Specialty Dental Assistants travel to multiple offices per day, sometimes several times per day, with reliable transportation.
• In lieu of a valid license, alternate transportation acceptable for timely travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions per state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Assist orthodontists and other clinicians to ensure efficient schedules.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory and follow infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist for efficient care.
• Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital chart.
• Demonstrate and explain how to operate dental equipment to others.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
