Job Summary

We are a private practice Oral Surgery office looking to add a friendly, dependable, outgoing Surgical Dental Assistant to our team! As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you will assist the surgeon in providing top-notch care to our patients. We are looking for someone who has a good work ethic, is punctual, and skilled at multitasking. Must be a registered dental assistant in the state of Washington and have a current BLS certificate. Surgical Assistant background is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.

Rate of pay depends on experience.

Responsibilities

1. Greet patients and perform pre-surgical preparations.
2. Assist the oral surgeon in all aspects of patient care.
3. Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have.
4. Take vital signs and accurately record medical history.
5. Prepare sterilized equipment and make it available to the surgeon for exams and procedures.
6. Assist the surgeon during exams and procedures.
7. Take x-rays.
8. Provide post-operative instructions to patients.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
10. Potential to work toward obtaining IV sedation certification, which includes starting IVs and assisting with procedural sedations.

Qualifications
