Job summary

Leavenworth Oral Surgery is seeking a Surgical Assistant to support oral surgeons in a fast-paced outpatient setting at 3550 South 4th Street, Leavenworth, KS. The role focuses on patient care, instrument preparation, and ensuring safety and efficiency during procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, BLS certification, and prior dental experience preferred but not required; training is available. Schedule is Monday through Friday, with some overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (some college, preferred).
• Basic life support certification required. Employers will provide training if not current.
• Previous dental experience – Preferred not required.
• Experience as an oral surgery assistant or dental assistant is preferred. (Will train the right candidate.)

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures.
• Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment required for surgical procedures.
• Support adherence to best practices, established protocols, and the highest patient safety standards.
• Accurately document patient encounters and surgical procedures.
