Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Dental Assistant to support doctors during oral surgery, prep patients, and provide education for pre- and post-operative care. The role requires strong patient interaction, x-ray capabilities, and compliance with HIPAA in a hospital/clinic setting.

The position involves assisting with procedures, room preparation, and patient transport, with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7am–6pm, one day off; work occurs in both office and hospital environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, X-ray certification, CPR certification, Dental Assistant certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental office with interest in oral surgery.
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems.
• Experience performing x-rays on patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them from waiting room to procedure room; prepare patients for surgery.
• Notify physician once the patient is ready after reviewing health history, vitals and x-rays.
• Stock and prep procedure rooms with necessary instruments.
• Assist the physician with dental surgical procedures.
• Help with patient recovery after surgery and escort to transport.
• Perform patient education when appropriate.
