Job summary

East Atlanta Oral Implant & Facial in Atlanta, GA is seeking a skilled Oral Surgery Assistant to join a fast-paced, patient-focused team. You will work alongside experienced oral surgeons, assisting during extractions, dental implants, and facial procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing instruments, imaging, monitoring patient comfort, documenting records, and educating patients on post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dental/oral surgery assistant strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology.
• CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including extractions, dental implants, and facial surgeries.
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and operatory rooms before and after procedures.
• Monitor and support patient comfort and safety throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op stages.
• Take and process dental X-rays and 3D CBCT scans as directed.
• Document patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories accurately in practice management software.
• Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and answer follow-up questions.
• Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and assist with ordering and stocking as needed.
