Job summary

DMC Receiving Hospital is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to support oral surgery procedures under physician and/or manager supervision. You will provide chair-side assistance, prepare instruments, and ensure readiness for local and general anesthesia.

A strong focus on patient care and a clean, safe treatment area is essential. Responsibilities include radiography, glucose testing, and some front desk/clerical support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Dental Assistant or 3+ years of dental assisting with Radiography Certification (MI program).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Oral Surgeons with procedures and chair-side support.
• Handle instruments, suction, retraction, and preparation for local/general anesthesia.
• Perform dental radiography and glucose testing per orders.
• Provide front desk support and clerical coverage as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment room and proper sterilization.
