Southwest Florida Oral Surgery - Naples is seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join a busy specialty practice in Naples, FL. You will support the Dentist, prepare the surgical area, assist during procedures, and help maintain patient comfort and safety.

Ideal candidates have OMFS experience preferred, 1–2 years in surgical assisting, knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization, and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifikationen

• OMFS experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as surgical assistant; specialty preferred.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Well-organized and reliable.
• A high school diploma.
• A certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law).
• An active state radiology license (if required by law).
• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
• Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas.
• Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments.
• Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards.
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations.

Aufgaben

• Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting as required.
• Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
• Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients.
• Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.
• As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.
