Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics in Stockton, CA is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant to join our energetic team. You will assist the doctor, prepare the treatment area, take X-rays, and support patient comfort throughout procedures.

• Current and active state certified RDA license preferred.

• ACLS Certified (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment area for patient by following procedures and protocols.
• Prepare patient for surgery by welcoming, comforting and seating patient.
• Assist the doctor during treatment procedures.
• Assist in the recovery of patients.
• Perform dental infection control procedures.
• Assist in the doctor during consultations.
• Take x-rays.
• Perform all lab related procedures.
• Hand off patient at check-out.
• Ensure surgery patients are comfortable before leaving the office and have proper post-op instructions.
• Complete care calls and thank you cards.
• Assist in managing and controlling supply inventory.
• Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
• Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, ADA and Dental Board compliance.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment.
• Other duties as assigned

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary duty of the Oral Surgery Assistant is to assist in the overall delivery of oral surgery and to be an integral part of the patient care team by consistently delivering the most memorable and fun service experience possible for every patient, every day in every office.
