Job summary

Kids Care Dental And Orthodontics is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant to join our vibrant team in California. You will prepare the treatment area, seat patients, assist the surgeon, and support recovery with infection control and charting.

Friendly, patient-focused candidates with 2+ years in oral surgery and DA/RDA/OMSA/ACLS credentials are preferred. Join a fun, fast-paced practice delivering high-quality care to children.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2+ years in an oral surgery office.
• Must have DA Certificate.
• Current and active state certified RDA license preferred.
• OMSA certified.
• ACLS Certified.
• Loves working with children.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Dentrix a plus.
• Upbeat personality is a MUST.
• Clean, neat professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment area for patient by following procedures and protocols.
• Prepare patient for surgery by welcoming, comforting and seating patient.
• Assist the doctor during treatment procedures.
• Assist in the recovery of patients.
• Perform dental infection control procedures.
• Assist the doctor during consults.
• Take x-rays.
• Perform all lab related procedures.
• Hand off patient at check-out.
• Ensure surgery patients are comfortable before leaving the office and have proper post-op instructions.
• Complete care calls and thank you cards.
• Assist in managing and controlling supply inventory.
• Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, Dental Board, etc.
