Job summary

Elevated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Aurora, CO is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the surgeon and clinical team during consultations, surgery, and recovery. You will assist with patient care, radiographs, and documentation, while ensuring safety and comfort for each patient.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental/oral surgery settings preferred.
• Ability to assist surgeon during consultations and procedures.
• Strong attention to patient safety and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during consultations and surgical procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide pre- and post-operative care.
• Monitor patients and record vital signs.
• Take diagnostic radiographs and follow radiation safety protocols.
• Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Coordinate medical clearances and help patients understand treatment instructions.
• Deliver outstanding patient service and help patients feel comfortable and supported.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a positive and efficient clinical environment.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Dental assisting experience preferred
• Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety
• Team-focused, professional, and eager to learn
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient care

Certifications & Requirements

• Current CPR Certification (required)
• Dental Assisting or Oral Surgery Assisting Certification (preferred)
• Hepatitis B vaccination/titer (required)
• Current TB screening (required)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to assist with patient movement and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while managing multiple priorities
