Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.
• Active, unrestricted dental license in the state of Michigan (or eligibility to obtain), along with applicable DEA registration and sedation permits as required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures including extractions, bone grafts, and dental implant placement.
• Manage pre-operative consultations and post-operative follow-up.
• Evaluate patient medical histories and develop treatment plans.
• Administer local anesthesia, sedation, or general anesthesia as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate closely with general dentists, hygienists, and clinical staff to coordinate patient care and communicate options.
