Qualifications

  • Must hold DDS or DMD degree; MD preferred with board eligibility.

Job description

New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is adding a part-time Oral Surgeon to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award-winning Cancer and Breast Centers. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Weill Medical College of Cornell University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

The Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon will diagnose patients and treat various conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions.

Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of OMFS resident staff.
  • Participation in daily rounds of in-patients.
  • Scholarly activity with resident education program and mentorship of research initiatives.
  • Educational conferences and presentations to faculty and residents across all disciplines.
  • Growth of Craniofacial Division to include treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Cleft Palate Repair.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).
  • MD degree preferred; Board Eligible by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Board Certification preferred).
  • Fellowship Certificate of training preferred, however not required.
