Job summary

Augusta University’s Dental College of Georgia invites applications for a faculty position in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This full-time, non-tenure track appointment reports to the Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching for predoctoral students, postgraduate residents, and peers, as well as providing patient care and contributing to scholarship and service.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school.
• Graduate of a CODA-accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
• Eligibility for American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS).
• US dental license and eligibility for Georgia Board of Dentistry licensure.
• Assistant Professor: early career with relevant education, training, and experience.
• Associate Professor: mid-career with at least five years at Assistant Professor rank and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Teaching/Instruction: Deliver didactic and clinical instruction to students and residents.
• Clinical/Patient Care: Provide OMFS services in clinical and hospital settings.
• Scholarship: Engage in professional development and presentations.
• Service: Participate in public and professional service and research development.

Education
