Job summary

The University of Minnesota invites applicants to apply for a full-time clinical faculty position in the division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Responsibilities include teaching, hospital cases, seminars and lectures to advanced and predoctoral students, clinical coverage, on-call services, and participation in school governance, with opportunities for research and continuing education involvement.

Applicants may join a multidisciplinary team and engage in craniofacial clinics if desired;

Qualifications

• DDS, DMD or Equivalent degree.
• Completion of a CODA accredited advanced education training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons or eligible to become Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
• Full Minnesota dental license or eligible for full dental/specialist licensure in the state of Minnesota.
• Full dental anesthesia license or eligible for full dental anesthesia licensure in the state of Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical teaching and supervision for advanced and predoctoral students.
• Perform hospital minor and major cases and participate in clinical coverage and on-call services.
• Contribute to divisional continuing education activities and research opportunities.
• Participate in school of Dentistry committees and governance.
• Collaborate in cleft lip/cleft palate and craniofacial multidisciplinary team clinics if desired.

Education

DDS, DMD or Equivalent degree
