Job summary

Britt Medical Search is seeking a full-time BC/BE Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with microsurgical expertise to join a leading Tallahassee hospital. The role focuses on advanced reconstructive surgery, including free tissue transfer and microvascular reconstruction, with a mix of inpatient and outpatient care.

Involvement in academic activities and teaching, plus opportunities to expand services such as TORS, will be offered through a strong university partnership.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree required.
• Advanced training and experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
• Microsurgical expertise in free tissue transfer and microvascular reconstruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop an advanced reconstructive practice focused on free tissue transfer and microvascular surgery.
• Treat complex cases involving head and neck oncology and reconstruction.
• Join an established oral and maxillofacial surgery service with a strong regional trauma referral base.
• Provide a mix of inpatient and outpatient care.
• Share call responsibilities, averaging 5–7 days per month.
• Participate in academic, research, teaching, and program-development opportunities with Florida State University.
• Expand clinical services in areas such as transoral robotic surgery (TORS) and sleep medicine.

Position Highlights:

• Develop an advanced reconstructive practice focused on free tissue transfer and microvascular surgery
• Treat complex cases involving head and neck oncology and reconstruction
• Join an established oral and maxillofacial surgery service with a strong regional trauma referral base
• Provide a mix of inpatient and outpatient care
• Share call responsibilities, averaging 5–7 days per month
• Participate in academic, research, teaching, and program-development opportunities through a partnership with Florida State University
• Opportunity to expand clinical services in areas such as transoral robotic surgery (TORS), peripheral and orthopedic flap reconstruction, and sleep medicine
