The Planet Group is hiring an Oracle Tax Consultant. This is a contract role, 6+ months, remote.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Tax Consultant with deep functional and technical expertise in Oracle ERP Cloud and a strong track record supporting clients in the Energy, Gas, and Water industries. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring and implementing Oracle Tax solutions, specifically tailored to the unique needs and regulatory requirements of the utilities sector.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite/Cloud Tax modules
• Design and configure Oracle Tax rules for complex transactions involving Energy, Gas, and Water resources
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to integrate tax engines and reporting requirements
• Analyze client business processes and legal tax obligations to deliver compliant solutions
• Support tax determination logic for Procurement, Payables, Receivables, and Projects
• Customize tax setups for U.S. and international jurisdictions as applicable
• Provide post-implementation support and optimization
• Ensure compliance with evolving utility regulations and industry tax standards

Must haves (ideally top 3 things)

• Knowledge of federal and regulatory reporting (e.g., FERC, PSC filings)
• Experience with state and local tax compliance in regulated utility environments
