Job Title: Oracle/SQL DBA

Location: Oldwick, NJ (Remote Eligible from: CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, KY, MA, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NY, PA, TX, VA, WA)

Compensation: Up to $110,000

About the Role

Oracle/SQL Database Administrator to manage and support a diverse database environment. This role is crucial for maintaining optimal database performance, ensuring data integrity, and supporting mission-critical applications. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement best practices in database management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Oracle RMAN backups, DataPump, Data Guard, GoldenGate CDC, and advanced features like compression and partitioning.
• Manage SQL Server database activities including restores, clustering, replication, and Always-On availability groups.
• Perform database creation, cloning, performance tuning, shell scripting, and log checks across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Provide application team support and guidance on database design and troubleshooting.
• Recommend and implement solutions for database structure, performance, and scalability.
• Participate in upgrades and migration projects and act as the escalation point for database issues.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and recommend enhancements for database operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 4+ years of experience with Oracle RAC on ODA and OCI.
• 2+ years of SQL Server DBA experience on-prem and in Azure.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Oracle and/or MS SQL Server certification is a plus.
