Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Principal Functional Architect - Oracle Financials Cloud to lead global finance transformation programs. You will shape end-to-end Oracle Financials Cloud architecture across Receivables, Payables, GL, Cash Management, Assets, and Expenses, collaborating with finance, accounting, and treasury stakeholders.

You will design scalable configurations, drive integrations and testing, mentor teams, and guide best practices while ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of experience delivering Oracle Financials solutions and finance transformation programs.
• Deep functional expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials across Receivables, Payables, GL, Cash Management, Assets, and Expenses.
• Experience leading large-scale Oracle Cloud Financials implementations for global organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Oracle Financials Cloud solution architecture across modules (Receivables, Payables, GL, Cash Mgmt, Assets, Expenses).
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and define future-state financial processes.
• Design scalable Oracle Cloud configurations to support global operations and compliance.
• Drive implementation activities: design, configuration, testing, deployment, post-production support.
• Define integration requirements between Oracle Financials Cloud and other apps.
• Lead system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Develop functional specs, process flows, and configuration workbooks.
• Collaborate on reporting, dashboards, and KPI frameworks with analytics teams.
• Provide guidance on financial process optimization and best practices.
• Manage functional risks, release planning, and project delivery.
• Mentor consultants on Oracle Financials Cloud capabilities and methodologies.
• Support change management, training, and user adoption initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, audits, and regulatory standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Functional Architect - Oracle Financials Cloud to lead large-scale finance transformation initiatives for global clients. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across Oracle Cloud Financials modules, strong consulting capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise solutions that optimize financial operations, enhance reporting, and support business growth.

In This Role You Will

• Lead end-to-end Oracle Financials Cloud solution architecture across Receivables, Payables, General Ledger, Cash Management, Assets, and Expenses.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 16+ years of experience delivering Oracle Financials solutions and finance transformation programs.

• Deep functional expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials, including Receivables, Payables, General Ledger, Cash Management, Assets, and Expenses.

• Extensive experience with solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, controls, reconciliations, and period-end close processes.

• Experience leading large-scale Oracle Cloud Financials implementations for global organizations.

• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

• Experience with financial data migration, reconciliation, and cutover planning activities.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively within hybrid delivery environments and cross-functional teams.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $116,100 - $156,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
