Job summary

FM Talent Source is seeking a Developer DBA for a full-time role in McLean, VA. You’ll design, develop, and optimize Oracle database solutions, including PL/SQL packages, ETL processes, and data migrations to support the GrantSolutions platform.

Collaborate with developers, DevOps, data engineers, and federal partners in an Agile environment, applying AI-assisted tools to improve code quality, testing, and delivery. Expect cloud data integration using AWS Redshift, S3, RDS, and Matillion ETL.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Five+ years in Oracle database development, engineering, ETL, or related roles.
• Strong Oracle SQL/PLSQL expertise, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, materialized views, sequences, and tuning.
• Experience designing ETL, data transformation, batch processing, and data migration.
• Experience with AWS data services: Redshift, RDS, S3.
• Matillion ETL experience.
• Agile software development experience.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Oracle database solutions with high performance and maintainability.
• Develop and optimize SQL/PLSQL code for functionality, reporting, and integrations.
• Create and maintain migration scripts, schema updates, and deployment packages.
• Build and support ETL workflows and data transformation processes.
• Analyze data models, schemas, and mappings to support requirements.
• Develop cloud-based data integration and analytics using AWS services.
• Build and maintain data pipelines with Matillion ETL and other platforms.
• Troubleshoot database issues and optimize performance across environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and DevSecOps practices.
• Create technical documentation for designs, mappings, and procedures.
• Support production releases and post-deployment validation.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and documentation.
