Job summary

Centraprise is seeking a senior Oracle SQL/PL-SQL specialist to design, implement, and optimize complex database objects and data models. The role focuses on performance tuning, reliability, and secure data handling within a financial services context.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, migrate deployments, and support production environments, leveraging AI-assisted development where applicable.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Oracle SQL/PL-SQL and relational data modeling.
• Expert level in Oracle SQL/PL-SQL with performance tuning.
• Strong Unix shell scripting and secure data handling experience.
• Experience in financial services or tax operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development approaches is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database objects — tables, views, indexes, constraints, synonyms, and sequences — following naming and design standards.
• Write, optimize, and tune SQL queries and PL/SQL code (stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers) for performance and reliability.
• Analyze business/functional requirements and translate them into robust database designs and data models.
• Develop and maintain deployment, migration, and rollback scripts, supporting releases across DEV, QA, and PROD environments.
• Perform data analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting of database issues, ensuring data integrity, security, and quality.
• Collaborate with application teams, DBAs, and QA, and participate in code reviews, documentation, and production support.
