Job summary

GDIT in Falls Church, VA is seeking an Oracle Database Developer (PL/SQL) to design and maintain Oracle Data Warehouses and BI platforms. You will lead IT best practices and collaborate with business users to translate requirements into reliable data solutions.

Role demands 4+ years PL/SQL with strong RDBMS knowledge; hybrid work arrangement with on-site three days per week as needed. Salary range shown reflects market in the Falls Church area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field with 4+ years of experience or 8+ years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL experience.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS design and familiarity with Data Warehouse/BI concepts.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work with teams and customers.
• Preferred: ETL tools experience; OAS platform reporting; LINUX/UNIX shell scripting; data visualization; JIRA; Java; JavaScript; Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Design and code PL/SQL procedures.
• Participate in development and learning of Data Warehouse and BI applications.
• Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and drive projects.
• Communicate commitments, issues, and dates with stakeholders.
• Contribute to data modeling and database design.
• Maintain availability during core hours with possible extended hours, rotations, weekends, and deployment support.
