$140,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Oracle OMS Project Manager

Remote

Long-term Contract

$70–75/hr. depending on experience

Position Overview:

We are hiring an experienced Project Manager to join one of our largest Energy/Utilities companies in the Richmond area to join support a large upgrade project. This department is currently beginning the upgrade from Oracle NMS to Oracle OMS 2.6. This large-scale transformation includes 31 individual workstreams, many of which are still awaiting leadership. In this role, you will independently lead 1-3 workstreams and a team of 3-5, serving as the connective tissue between the technical and business teams. You will work alongside Oracle teams and other implementation support partners to support the integration and upgrade, manage project timelines and run a project team to help steward the upgrade along and continue pushing the project along.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ proven experience managing project teams and tracking deliverables.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or work experience equivalent.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills, with experience tracking project updates, budgets, milestones, etc.
• Experience supporting an Oracle system (or similar) implementation or upgrade on either the business or IT side.
• Ability to drive progress independently and think critically.
• Comfortable leading meetings, managing timelines, and engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience in Utilities or Energy industry.
• Experience working with Oracle platforms—particularly NMS or OMS.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project plans across assigned workstreams
• Lead weekly check-ins to report progress and surface blockers
• Proactively troubleshoot issues and escalate as needed
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams (no deep technical expertise required)
• Utilize a primarily waterfall methodology, with some agile components
• Work in a fast-moving, highly visible enterprise program with minimal reporting overhead
